Use a matching electric screwdriver at a medium speed, perpendicularly aligning it with the nut's pre-drilled hole. The screw will automatically cut matching threads. Stop immediately when you feel a significant increase in torque to avoid stripping or damaging the threads.
Regarding material compatibility, metal self-tapping nuts are suitable for dense materials such as steel and aluminum, while plastic substrates should use models with sparser threads. If the sheet thickness is less than 1mm, it is recommended to add a reinforcing washer on the back to prevent deformation. For scenarios requiring frequent disassembly, stainless steel self-tapping nuts can be used to enhance wear resistance.
During installation, ensure the drilled hole diameter is 80%-90% of the nut's outer diameter. Too loose a hole will result in insecure fixing, while too tight a hole may cause material cracking. When installing on wood, it is recommended to pre-drill a pilot hole to prevent wood splitting. If excessive installation resistance is encountered, apply a small amount of lubricant to reduce frictional heat.
After installation, it is recommended to perform a torque test using a torque wrench to check if the torque reaches 70%-80% of the product's rated value. During regular maintenance, if thread wear is found, injecting a special thread-repair adhesive can extend the service life. For applications in vibration environments, it is best to add an anti-loosening washer to ensure reliable connection.
